The ancient looms from the 1900s have been nearly eliminated by modern looms in terms of efficiency due to the extremely slow process of making finished products. However, there are still nearly 200 machines working every day in Wakayama, Japan, and every machine needs to be operated by experienced workers. The characteristic is that the woven fabric is particularly soft and durable!
